Description

Position Summary:   

The Director of Marketing leads and oversees marketing strategies and efforts in order to strengthen the company's market position and achieve desired business and growth goals.  This includes developing year-long strategic plans, creating and executing campaigns, managing budgets, and leading projects and team members.  The Marketing Director also provides strategic leadership, from a market and product perspective, to the management team.
 

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the annual marketing plan, strategy, and team
  • Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives
  • Direct and support market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports
  • Lead a diverse team of talent in a demanding environment with high performance expectations while developing and managing an annual department budget
  • In conjunction with the Operations and Business Development teams, develop the strategy and create the message for presentations
  • Coach the teams for successful presentations
  • Manage the strategic pursuit lifecycle including oversight of materials developed during pursuit.
  • Oversee the implementation of the advertising, public relations and marketing strategy.
  • Direct all mass and social media marketing including company website maintenance, corporate branding, and special events coordination.
  • Work with internal and external business partners to support the design, development and compliance of marketing collateral including advertising, proposals, and presentations.
  • Work with the Director of Business Development to manage and continuously develop the strategic initiatives to support the business development team’s efforts including informational packets, proposals, and presentations.
  • Drive the development of targeted content that aligns with the CK Way
  • Lead brand perception research and leverage other research available to refine objectives and strategies; and to evaluate effectiveness and optimize performance for team
  • Define key performance indicators, and meet and exceed performance targets
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of the performance of marketing campaigns, events and digital marketing efforts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Present findings to senior management team to support business plan development, forecasting and future implementation.
  • Utilize assessment results to decrease marketing spend
  • Develop a deep understanding of the construction industry and its changing market dynamics for strategic planning and growth.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Be a team player and collaborator
  • Ability to prepare written documentation and proposal requests
  • Possess persuasive and creative writing skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite

education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field required. Major in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Sales or Construction Management Preferred.
  • Construction experience preferred.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and good driving record
